Developing metacognition within the classroom is not as easy as many people expect. Many individuals like to interact with an educational theory and apply it immediately within school, but metacognition is a little more challenging as it demands a completely different approach to teaching by teachers and school leaders before expecting our pupils to develop their metacognitive skills.
