Design Thinking in Education

In the business world, much is made of Design Thinking, yet there is little evidence of its use in an educational context. Many of the principles behind Design Thinking are relevant to schools – in terms of classroom practice, as well as in terms of the leadership and management of running the school. Done sensibly, applying many of the ideas behind Design Thinking does not mean an additional work-load for school leaders, teachers or pupils. Design Thinking is also useful in a multitude of educational settings, from the early years through to Further Education and Universities.

But what does Design Thinking look like in a modern school context? How can leaders, teachers and pupils embrace Design Thinking across different subjects at different levels?

This course supports businesses, school leaders and teachers in helping design change in a creative, positive and tangible using well-respected methods of thinking about change.
